Monitoring Household electricity using ESP32 and OpenHAB w/ MQTT | OpenH...

This video is around an #MQTT enabled #EnergyMeter built around #ESP32 and #PZEM04T
Energy Meter. The PZEM module comes with support for a UART based
communication protocol, using which the ESP32 module fetches electrical
parameters and publish the same to an MQTT topic. The parameters are
fetched by #OpenHAB which subscribes to the same #MQTTtopic and finally shows the value in a #Sitemap.

Custom firmware on Smart Bulb | Home Automation #1

Recently I got this bulb from Amazon, which can be controlled from Cloud. As i prefer to make evrything local, connected to OpenHAB so that it can be fast and internet independant as well, I wanted to reflash it. Luckily i came across tuya-convert which is really awesome. No hardware hacks, get a Raspberry Pi and you are done. So enjoy the video !!

Multiple UART Ports in Raspberry Pi using CD4053 | Raspberry Pi #32

The video is all about multiplexing the UART port exposed through the GPIO pins of Raspberry Pi. This allows to have couple of UART ports out of Raspberry Pi uisng CD4053, an Analog MUX/DEMUX IC. However over here I am using a pre fabricated module that I got online and sold as UART multiplexer, but this uses the same MUX IC.
